2010 Camp Summary

Greetings.

Well, believe it or not, twelve Saturday sessions have come and gone, bringing to a close our Sixth Annual Let It Fly Football Drills & Skills Camp. I wanted to say, "Thank you" for all the support everyone showed throughout this summer.

This year's camp was held during some incredible cooler temperatures allowing the kids to continue to develop their football skills as they worked on the various drills in preparation for their tackle football seasons. For those kids who attended our camp on a regular basis this summer, my promise to them and to you is that they're ready for anything that comes their way.

 Special recognition goes out to Omar Rosado for being the only child to attend all twelve Saturday sessions. Way to go Omar!!!

 I feel it is important to share the following information with you as we continue to move forward next summer and throughout the years to come.

 Here is a quick breakdown of our camp enrollment over the last six summers:

2005 = 6 campers

2006 = 24 campers

2007 = 52 campers

2008 = 64 campers

2009 = 72 campers

2010 = 124 campers

As you can see, we're moving in the right direction as far as our camp enrollment. Our goal next summer is to coach and train at least 200 kids. You parents can help us continue to increase our enrollment if you'll simply share your viewpoints about our football camp with other parents throughout this upcoming tackle football season. Simply encourage those parents to visit our website: www.letitflyfootballcamp.com

If any of you ever have any questions throughout the upcoming football season, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Lastly, I want to remind all you ladies that we will be holding our 3rd Annual Football 101 For Women Class on Wednesday evenings, throughout the football season, from 6:30PM-8:00PM in the Pioneer Room at the Anthem Community Center. If you're planning on attending, please send me an e-mail to confirm.

Tuition for the class is $50 a month and you can make your checks payable to:

Let It Fly Sports Camp LLC

Thank you again for allowing me the privilege and honor of working, coaching, and training your child. I am humbled each summer and will never take it for granted.

Sincerely,
Coach Mark Huston
Camp Director

Football Camp Provides Foundation For Anthem Youth
MARC BUCKHOUT - MANAGING EDITOR - 7/22/2010

Mark Huston, the founder of Let It Fly Football Drills & Skills Camp, promises that the youth that go through his camps will learn the fundamentals of the game. Whether it’s the details of a proper stance for lineman or tackling techniques for linebackers to the footwork a defensive back needs to stick with a receiver, Huston, a former college quarterback at Northern Arizona University, has an experienced coaching staff with the expertise to offer local youth a leg up as they prepare for the upcoming football season.
